Nova 919’s Jodie Oddy and Andrew Hayes are the surprise package in the latest radio ratings results.
In the second survey for 2025, Nova’s Jodie & Hayesy finished runner up in the breakfast timeslot to Triple M breakfast hosts Mark Ricciuto, Chris Dittmar and Laura O’Callaghan.
The result came after Oddy and Hayes, or rather their producer Molly Rose, made headlines earlier this year.
When Prime Minister Anthony Albanese phoned into Nova 919 for a pre-arranged interview, Molly, who was new to the gig, famously mistook him for a Fringe Festival prankster.
He was a good sport about it and even dropped in for a meet and greet and hug with Molly – and on-air interview – in early April, which was also during the survey 2 ratings period.
The survey has Triple M’s brekky team of Ricciuto, Dittmar and O’Callaghan as No. 1 for the 17th time in a row.
Roo, Ditts and Loz won brekky with 13.2 share points, a dip of 0.8 from the trio’s survey 1 result.
In second spot, Oddy and Hayes – who were in fourth place last survey – recorded 12.8, after gaining 1.2 share points.
Fifth last survey, Mix 102.3’s new breakfast duo Hayley Pearson and Max Burford finished third with 12.0. They had the biggest gain in breakfast of 1.8.
In another shock move, fourth place went to ABC Adelaide breakfast presenters Jules Schiller and Sonya Feldhoff. That duo recorded 11.7, suffering the biggest loss of 1.2; they finished second in survey 1.
FIVEAA brekky duo David Penberthy and Will Goodings, who were in the No. 3 position last survey, have also fallen. The talkback duo recorded 10.8, their loss of 1.0 landing them fifth place this survey.
SAFM’s Bernie & Emma G – Best Mates for Breakfast recorded a significant gain of 1.4. It took them from seventh spot last survey to sixth place with 8.2.
Cruise 1323 breakfast show is seventh with 6.6, after a dip of 0.8. The ratings period was host John Dean’s swan song and new host Craig “Huggy” Huggins, who lives in Melbourne, is now broadcasting the show from that city.
Mix has replaced Triple M as Adelaide’s favourite station overall. It was No. 1 with 14.0, followed by Nova on 12.5 and Triple M on 12.2.
Have your say. Do you think Albo and Molly helped boost Nova 919 brekky show Jodie & Hayesy’s ratings?
