Massive star spotted on-set of Sex and the City spin-off

Viewers can expect a celebrity cameo on the upcoming second season of And Just Like that, with a big star spotted on-set in New York.

And Just Like That is filming its second season.

Fans of the Sex and the City reboot can expect some big celebrity cameos in the upcoming season.

HBO’s And Just Like That, which debuted on Binge in late 2021, is currently filming series two in New York with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis all reprising their beloved roles.

And this week, the cast was joined by British megastar Sam Smith, who surprised fans by sharing photos on-set of the show on their Instagram.

“Up to something unholy on set,” Smith wrote alongside two photos sitting next to a trailer.

A Sam Smith cameo?!

The official Instagram account for the show re-shared the images, with hundreds of fans rushing to the comments section to declare their excitement over Smith’s potential involvement.

“Omggg I’m so excited for the next season,” a fan wrote, to which And Just Like That’s account responded, “Surprises on the horizon!”

The first season – which came almost two decades after the iconic HBO series ended – pushed its way into the zeitgeist for a myriad reasons: Kim Cattrall’s exile, Mr. Big’s death, Miranda’s personality overhaul, the introduction of the divisive Che Diaz and a host of cringe-worthy boomer/millennial jokes to boot.

But it was a smashing hit among fans, and season two looks like it’ll be equally as buzzy.

Parker, who first slipped into Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolos back in 1998, recently shared a photo of a scene which showed her kissing John Corbett – aka Carrie’s fan favourite past love interest Aidan Shaw.

“This. Is. Not. A. Drill,” Parker wrote alongside the photos.

Corbett didn’t appear in the first series, and his belated return sent fans wild.

“NO WAYYYYYY,” Gwyneth Paltrow wrote on the photo.

“Well I guess we don’t need to watch the show now,” Aussie comedian Celeste Barber quipped at the major reveal.

US actress Sophia Bush added, “MY HEART MY HEART MY HEART!!”

There has been no premiere date announced yet for And Just Like That season two, which is co-executive produced and scripted by Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky.
