Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg has received a sweet welcome after touching down in Adelaide on Wednesday – and made a cheeky response.
The 50-year-old Californian rap icon posted on social media – to his 79.7 million Instagram followers – and let his Adelaide fans know that he’s officially landed in the state.
The Sofitel Adelaide Hotel on Currie St presented the artist with a sweet gourmet dessert plate topped with two macarons, candy, powdered sugar and the words ‘Welcome to Sofitel Adelaide’.
Snoop Dogg could be heard in his video response cheerfully commenting on the sweet gestures.
“Wow, thank you … macarons, candy and cocaine … thanks,” he joked, laughing.
Snoop Dogg is set perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Wednesday night, after a nine-year Australian tour hiatus.
Earlier in the week, he hosted Ed Sheeran – who played Adelaide Oval on Tuesday night – and Aussie acting legend Russell Crowe backstage at his Melbourne show.
