It’s getting hot in here: Adelaide TV reporter strips live on Today Show

Adelaide’s morning heat was too much for Nine News journo Tom Rehn, who stripped off during a live cross with the Today show – and the hosts’ reaction was priceless.

South Australia to swelter as weather warning issued

A prominent Nine News presenter has undressed during breakfast TV, stunning the Today hosts with a cheeky strip tease.

Sports presenter and commentator Tom Rehn was on a morning live-cross with Today’s show host Karl Stefanovic, Sarah Abo and Brooke Boney when things started getting hot and steamy.

Broadcasting from Adelaide, the presenter began unbuttoning his shirt while entertainment reporter Brooke Boney asked about SA’s scorching temperatures – which are expected to reach more than 40 degrees on Thursday.

Leading up to the strip tease, Mr Rehn built up the anticipation by saying: “We are going to do it on Today’s show … the Premier has done it here in South Australia, so I’m to do the same,” referring to the Premier’s shirtless stunt during the state election campaign.

The show’s presenters gasped as Mr Rehn continued to unbutton his shirt and pull it off with his jacket.

“The best thing about doing this Brooke is … I have cleared out the square here,” Mr Rehn said.

“No one is doing anything … you know what, when in Rome, when in South Australia … you’ve go to go shirtless.”

“The premier has done it, the footballers have done it in their pre-season, so why not me.”

As Rehn took off his shirt and suit jacket, tunes of Nelly’s hit track ‘Hot in Herre’ began to play in the background while Today’s presenters watched while laughing and dancing.

“This is the new rule, when it’s 40 degrees the blokes have to get their shirts off,” he said.

“Karl, if I’m going to do it when it’s 40 plus, you’ve gotta do the same thing.”

Stefanovic, laughing while the shenanigans were broadcast live, asked Rehn do to a “dad-bod wiggle.”

Without hesitating, Mr Rehn began thrusting his arms up and down, while prancing and wiggling his waist in an uncoordinated manner.

Perhaps those without a shred of rhythm could have mistaken his short performance as dancing?

As the show hosts regained their composure, Rehn finished his stunt by saying, “if anyone has got any dignity that they would like to give me, I’m running on short supply.”

Rehn is a renowned sports presenter and weekday reporter for Nine New in South Australia. He’s also works as a commentator, MC and host for events and brand ambassador.

The state is in the midst of battling the “worst South Australia heatwave” this week, with relief coming on Saturday.
