Having a ball: Is this SA Matildas star Charli’s new boyfriend?

Matildas sensation Charli Grant is a catch. But it looks like she’s taken after the 21-year-old posted a pic that’s got everyone saying “cute couple”.

She’s one of the rising stars of women’s soccer, he works for Adelaide United … and it looks like they’ve just made their romance Insta official.

Matilda, Charlotte “Charli” Grant, 21, posted a happy snap of herself – at Adelaide Oval wearing a Power scarf – with Lachlan Cameron by her side.

Adelaide-born Charli captioned the pic “perfect pear”, but more than a few of her close to 52,000 followers are thinking she wasn’t referring to Port Adelaide’s nickname.

They reckon Charli and Lachlan make the perfect pair.

FYI, Lachlan, is Adelaide United’s retail and merchandise co-ordinator. He also used to work for the Power in retail and admin and plays footy for Port District.

Charli’s post, which Lachlan also shared on his Insta stories with pear and heart emojis, was met with comments such as “You big cuties” and “Power couple”.

Sources say they pair are indeed together, and even spotted Lachlan supporting Charli on her world cup journey.

But there were also comments about her promising career, such as “Hurry up and sign for villa”, referring to the rumour that Charli is being headhunted by Aston Villa and is thereby joining 10 other Australians playing in the English Women’s Super League, which kicks off on October 1.
