Adelaide’s internationally-renowned couture house Paolo Sebastian is about to make history as the first Australian brand to feature on the runway at Dubai Fashion Week (DFW).
Founded by Paul Vasileff in 2007, Paolo Sebastian will launch its 2025 Spring/Summer Couture Collection at DFW on Sunday, February 2.
The eyes of the world will be on Vasileff’s designs.
Formerly known as Arab Fashion Week, DFW has played host to some of the biggest names in the industry; Jean Paul Gaultier, Iris van Herpen and Moschino have all been showcased at previous fashion weeks.
Vasileff has previously held private showings of his designs in Paris, to coincide with its fashion weeks, and in Doha and Dubai where he has a number of VIP clients.
“Each time we visit Dubai we fall more in love with it,” Vasileff said. “And now to be welcomed into their prestigious leading fashion event is an absolute dream come true.”
Vasileff said it was “an honour” for Paolo Sebastian to be the first Australian brand endorsed and showcased by DFW.
“It’s a privilege to bring our vision to an event that celebrates innovation, diversity, and creativity on a global stage,” he said.
Paolo Sebastian creations have been worn by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s partner Jodie Haydon, Olympian Zara Tindall and celebrities; they include supermodel Adut Akech, who divides her time between Adelaide and the US, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Rebel Wilson.
