David and Candice Warner among celebs fronting campaign for ovarian cancer research

David and Candice Warner are among a host of famous faces backing an Aussie fashion label’s campaign to change the fate of ovarian cancer patients.

New hope for women with ovarian cancer

Cricket star David Warner has encouraged Aussie men to talk more about women’s health.

The father of three has joined his daughters Indi Rae, Ivy Mae and Isla Rose, and wife, Candice, in fronting fashion label Camilla and Marc’s annual Ovaries Talk About Them campaign for ovarian cancer research.

“As a father of three daughters the importance of raising awareness of and vital funds for this heartbreaking disease has never been more apparent,” Warner told Confidential.

“To think, it’s 2022 and there is still no early detection test and the diagnosis for most remains fatal. I’m proud to get behind this Camilla and Marc campaign as together we can all make a difference and change the face of ovarian cancer.”

Model Jessica Gomes has also led the charge of Aussie celebrities supporting the third annual Ovaries Talk About Them campaign.

The campaign sees designer siblings Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman release a limited varsity inspired capsule collection for men, women and children with 100 per cent of proceeds going to fund the work of Associate Professor Caroline Ford and her team at the University of NSW.

Freeman-Topper and Freeman lost their mother, Pam, to the disease when they were kids.

“I think sometimes men can be embarrassed talking about women’s health,” Candice Warner said.

“But the more we can talk about it, it is just changing the perception of everything. For David to feel comfortable and to be able to talk to his daughters about what goes on with the female body and not feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about it, I think is really important.”

Other celebrities so far taking part in this year’s campaign include Natalie Barr, Cheyenne Tozzi, Gabriella Brookes and Jessica Rowe.
