HOLLYWOOD heart-throb Chris Hemsworth has slipped into South Australia and is expected to take in some of the state’s hottest tourist destinations this weekend.
Looking buffer than ever, the Thor superstar touched down at Adelaide airport just after midday on a private jet with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their children, five-year-old India Rose and three-year-old twin boys Tristan and Sasha, in tow.
After a few minutes skipping across the burning hot tarmac, the family loaded their luggage and surfboards aboard two helicopters and were back in the air, the Barossa Valley one of their rumoured destinations over the next few days.
Last year the Australian actor teamed up with SA’s iconic wine brand Jacob’s Creek in a campaign for their premium wine range, Double Barrel.
The commercial titled Two Barrels, One Soul is narrated by Hemsworth, and takes viewers behind the scenes of the Australian wine range, ending at the winery in the Barossa.
While they were keeping mum on details, a Jacob’s Creek representative did confirm Hemsworth’s visit when contacted by The Advertiser, saying he would be in the Barossa Valley for “a private function”.
Hemsworth made international headlines this week by helping to prank the world in Tourism Australia’s Crocodile Dundee Superbowl ad.
The superhero, who starred in the mock Crocodile Dundee trailer, will now shoulder its biggest advertising campaign since Paul Hogan asked Americans to ‘Come Say G’Day’ 30 years ago.
