Two months apart have rekindled the romance between Yummy Mummies star Maria Di Geronimo and her fiance Carlos Vannini.

The Adelaide reality TV couple, who featured on Seven’s reality show about the lives of four wealthy mums-to-be, have reunited following their split in September and are “more in love than ever”, according to Maria.

She tells Confidential their engagement is back on and they are now planning to grow their family beyond their two-year old daughter, Valentina.

“We are back together, happier and more in love than ever,” she says.

“Being apart from each other for eight weeks made us realise how much we really do love each other as we recognised that without each other we both felt incomplete.

“So Christmas next month will be even more special given we will share in the happiness of reuniting as a little family and the new year will bring plans for our wedding and possibly a plan to extend our family too.”

When they announced their breakup, Carlos admitted their starring role on the controversial series last year had an impact on the couple’s relationship.

“...the pressures and judgments of the public to some degree took its toll,” he said at the time.

Maria says they have been attending weekly couple counselling sessions since their breakup, which helped them work through their problems.

“It wasn’t as much issues between us as it was the input of high expectations we felt from those around us and the public too which were taking great affect,” Maria says.

“We have learnt that sometimes two people have to fall apart to realise how much they need to fall back together and that true love doesn’t mean being inseparable, it means being separated and nothing changing.”

Maria’s mother Margherita predicted the couple would get back together last month, saying a reconciliation was “on the cards”.

“There is a possibility, that’s all I can say. They’re on good terms, who knows what the future holds. They’re both beautiful people... I think they work well together,” she said.
