IT’S not all doom and gloom at the Crows, with veteran midfielder Richard Douglas becoming engaged to his longtime love Alessandra Lee.
Richard, who recently re-signed with the club, popped the big question on holiday in Port Douglas, Queensland, during the Crows’ bye week break.
“Best day ever,” Richard, 31, captioned a cute photo of the happy couple on social media, also adding a snap of the engagement ring.
Adelaide girl Alessandra, a qualified nutritionist, journalist and presenter on Nine’s lifestyle show Outdoors Indoors, also took to Instagram to share her joy.
“No words to describe my happiness …#bestfriends #soulmates #rocksolid,” she wrote.
Last week, Richard announced he had signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at the club for a 14th season in 2019.
