Bickmore — who was born in Adelaide but moved to Perth with her family as a young girl — went on maternity leave in late November ahead of her daughter's birth.

The TV personality was farewelled on screen by co-hosts Waleed Aly, Pete Helliar and Rachel Corbett.

Bickmore wrote on Instagram that she was “so excited and (slightly terrified!!)” to be leaving The Project to have her third child.
