Bon Jovi Announce 2018 Tour

US rockers Bon Jovi stayed close to their Italian roots for a pre-concert band dinner in Adelaide.

The iconic group, led by frontman Jon Bon Jovi, headed to Port Rd restaurant, Enzo’s Ristorante, on Monday night for a private dinner ahead of Tuesday night’s Botanic Park show.

Founding member Jon, whose father is of Italian heritage, was joined by keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, bassist Hugh McDonald and guitarist John Shanks for the meal, which included many of the restaurant’s popular dishes such as beef fillet, gnocchi and calamari.

Co-owner Teresa Fazzari said lead singer Jon selected the healthier SA King George whiting, which he loved.

“He was lovely, they were all gentlemen, down-to-earth and lovely to be around,” she said. “We felt really honoured to be able to serve them, they are music legends – I’m still a little gobsmacked.”

Bon Jovi’s other guitarist, Phil X - who replaced Richie Sambora in 2016 - missed the dinner and instead played a set at Waymouth St live music venue The Grace Emily.

Inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, Bon Jovi’s This House Is Not for Sale Tour is their first visit to Australia since 2013.
