Kai Greene wants to inspire his fans beyond the world of fitness.
The award-winning bodybuilder, actor and artist is in Adelaide as part of a collaboration with SA activewear label Ryderwear, and will host a training workshop at the Derrimut 24/7 Gym in Gepps Cross on Thursday night.
“My own personal success is largely empowered by being able to recognise how powerful my thoughts are,” he said.
“Thinking and acting and working in a specific way, you cannot only create the arms and the chest you want to build but, ultimately, you can create the life you want for yourself,” said the American, who has more than five million followers on Instagram.
“If you recognise the ability to control the ideas that you have in your head and focus on everyday, therein lies the power to create and shape your own destiny.”
Greene, who starred on cult Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things in 2017, has teamed up with Ryderwear for a limited-edition shoe and a range of gym wear.
“It’s not something I could have imagined 20 years ago,” he said.
“This is a tremendous opportunity and it’s been received so well.
“We’ve got some great new designs.”
A three-time winner of the prestigious Arnold Classic professional bodybuilding contest, Greene has also received plaudits for his artwork, last year releasing his own comic book series, Chronicles Of King Kai: TICKETS:rydewithkaigreene.eventbrite.com.au.
