Apollo Jackson says Australia’s Got Talent will be his last run at reality television after previous stints on dating shows The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.
The 26-year-old will compete on AGT, where he will show off his magic skills with the aim of one day “going big and touring the world”.

“The dating show was good for when I was single but as far as who I am, I am a magician and I want to show Australia that side of me,” Jackson told Confidential.
“Obviously I wouldn’t do a dating show again. This will probably be my last reality show.
Jackson is based on the Gold Coast and dates fellow reality TV star Edyn ‘Mac’ Mackney of Love Island fame.
Asked if she was ‘the one’, he said: “I’m really enjoying where the relationship is going so there is a good chance it could be”.
Earlier this year he spoke of his struggle to find his place in the industry when he invested all of his money into a magic show that ended up being cancelled. Money was so tight his phone was cut off for two months.
“Normally I get some casual work to get through, I’ve been doing that my entire life,” he recalled. “I was applying for like 20 to 30 jobs a week and not hearing back from anyone. Obviously I had put a lot of money into getting this show up and running and there wasn’t any gigs or even the look of magic or music work on the horizon. It was tough. I was just looking for anything.”
Jackson ended up finding a casual job in retail to get him through the tough time.
Looking ahead, he wants to focus on growing his magician career.
“As a kid I always dreamt of going big with magic,” he said. “Inventing new things and possibly having my own TV show where I travel and do stunts and things. I have always dreamt big like that. As a starting point, even just being able to perform full time and that be my sole source of income, just entertaining, would be a dream in itself. I’d love to go where the international guys have gone as an Australian magician.”
AGT will premiere soon on Seven.
