Miranda Kerr’s brother Matty splits from husband James Wright as family business is sold
Miranda Kerr’s brother Matty quietly split from his husband at the end of last year citing two reasons for their surprise break up. The pair had a fairytale wedding where his supermodel sister attended as a bridesmaid.
Not even two years after their lavish Hunter Valley wedding, Miranda Kerr’s brother Matthew and his partner James Wright have called time on their marriage.
Confidential can confirm the couple quietly split in September and are now living separate lives with new partners.
“We officially split in September,” Wright told Confidential, citing “business stress” and “lives headed in different directions” as reasons for the break up.
It is a sad end to what appeared to be a fairytale romance for the pair, who first got together in 2014.
Miranda Kerr was a bridesmaid when they married on December 30, 2017, on their property in the Hunter Valley.
Mother Therese Kerr officiated as celebrant when same sex marriage was still not legalised in Australia.

“We don’t need an Australian government or the law to tell us what love is,” she told Confidential at the time. “We are proud as punch.”
Miranda’s billionaire partner Evan Spiegel was also part of the wedding celebrations.
Kerr and Wright ran a restaurant at a nearby property named Nanna Kerr’s Kitchen, a tribute to his grandmother, Ann.
Wright continued to manage the business after the couple split but changed its name to Love Kitchen Hunter Valley in January and this month announced he had sold to a long-time customer.
“It’s a nod to Nan Kerr’s kitchen, which was the hub of the family meeting place for so long,” Wright said ahead of opening the restaurant in July 2015.
“That is what Matt is out to recreate, somewhere the family can come to and certainly it would be great for family occasions and all of that stuff. Our foodie vision is to create somewhere that is really homely and pays homage to nan’s all over Australia and the world with our food memories from our childhood.”
Matthew is now understood to be based in Newcastle and is back working with his sister’s Kora Organics business while Wright is moving to Byron Bay.
