Shannon Noll charged with assault

THE Crazy Horse Revue has denied claims Shannon Noll was king hit by a security guard outside the Hindley St venue early on Sunday morning.

Instead, they allege Noll, who was arrested and charged by police with two counts of assault, lost his cool after propositioning a dancer inside the club.

Breaking the club’s silence for the first time, Crazy Horse operations manager Charlie Flehan said his employees acted in a “professional manner at all times” and that Noll was not touched by security until he became aggressive.
“The Crazy Horse is a business operated in a professional manner and engages professional people in respect to its operations. Crazy Horse’s concerns at all times is the safety of its patrons and that of its personnel,” he said.

A source close to the venue told The Advertiser Noll arrived at the gentleman’s club alone between 10.30pm and 11pm, and paid for four dances with two different women.

Early into the fourth dance, scheduled to go for one hour, he allegedly asked the performer if she wanted to go to his hotel room.
When she declined, Noll became “agitated and aggressive”, demanding his money back.

“He asked to see the venue manager. He said he didn’t want the lap dance, he wanted a refund,” the source said.

“He was saying, ‘Give my f...ing money back, you don’t know who you’re f...ing with’.”

The incident led to security being called and he was escorted out of the venue.

The source said “no one touched” Noll until he allegedly pushed the venue manager outside Crazy Horse and then punched a security guard.

Bouncers quickly pounced on Noll, who continued to have one of the guards in a headlock until police arrived, the source said.

Mr Flehan said there were security cameras inside and outside the club showing “no bouncers touched” the singer until he became physically aggressive.

Alastair Longmuir, 19, who saw the altercation and took video of the incident, also backed the venue and said Noll was “definitely not” king hit by security.

“My opinion is that Shannon’s PR are trying to change the story to make people sympathise with him,” Mr Longmuir said.

He also confirmed that “at least twice” he heard the singer say, “I’m Shannon Noll, let me back in”.

Noll, who was in SA to perform at Saturday’s Sounds By The River show at Mannum, was bailed to appear at Adelaide Magistrates Court on February 24, the day before he plays a sold-out Red Hot Summer show in Queensland.
