Sources close to Bickmore have speculated that the separation was sparked by the naked incidents.

In May last year, the senior ABC producer stripped naked in front of colleagues, wrongly believing he had logged off a Skype call from an online rehearsal meeting for The Weekly comedy program.

It’s understood Walker was in a bathroom and was observed by about nine staff taking his pyjamas off in readiness for a shower after failing to close his laptop.

Staff in a control room at the ABC were subjected to his naked body, including a close-up of his penis, on a screen.

Although he strongly denied the allegation, the Herald Sun was told Walker engaged in a lewd act during the incident.

This was not the first Walker was caught with his pants down.

Bickmore and Walker were together for 11 years.

They announced their split on Wednesday.

In November 2021, Bickmore revealed on her Carrie and Tommy podcast that her partner had accidentally strolled nude into the background of her midnight Zoom call “pantless” and “undie-less” with “his bits out”.

She said they laughed their heads off after he was unintentionally naked in the background of an interview with 35 journalists from all around the world.

“Full-frame in the corner [of the screen] was Chris with his meat and veg, just standing there for the entire world press to see,’ she said.

“It was outstanding.”

Bickmore also had her own embarrassing nude run-in.

Appearing on the Channel 10 show, Would I Lie To You, Bickmore said she flashed her son’s friend after answering the door naked while pregnant.

She thought it was her son Ollie running back to grab something for school, but it was his friend instead.

“We’re a naked family, and I was pregnant at the time,” she said.

“I opened the door to him, I thought it was my son, I said, ‘what have you forgotten?’, it wasn’t him, it was his friend.

“I remember thinking I didn’t want him to think the female body was anything to be embarrassed by, and I thought if I talk to him about school and stuff it would feel less weird for him.

“And maybe he’d walk away thinking it wasn’t that weird, because we talked about school.”
