Viewers of Prince Harry’s latest tell-all interview have taken to Twitter to express their opinion — and many are calling out his brother, Prince William, the future King of England.
In what was Harry’s most combative interview yet, the Prince was grilled by longtime friend and journalist Tom Bradby on his continual dragging of the royal family, particularly Prince William, against whom he has made several astonishing allegations.
In his book, Spare, Harry detailed a physical altercation with “Willy”, recalling being “lunged at” and thrown to the ground by his collar as his furious brother lambasted him over his decision to step down from royal duties and flee the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Speaking to Bradby today, Harry further claimed William and his wife, Kate Middleton, iced Meghan out from the beginning, accusing them of “stereotyping” the former Suits actress.
“I don’t think they were ever expecting me to get into a relationship with someone like Meghan, who had a successful career,” he said.
“American actress, divorced, biracial. There’s lots of different parts to that.”
He went on to hint that William and Kate had voiced concerns about Meghan based on what had been reported in the press.
“A lot of stereotyping happened … You can’t hide from that, especially within my family, newspapers are laid out in every single palace house that is around.
“So, yes, it does create this competition and if you’re the new kid on the block stealing the limelight... Not a limelight you’ve asked to be put in. The British press have decided it for you because it sells newspapers.”
Reacting to the explosive chat, many have defended Harry, while slamming Prince William.
Gosh, I hate to admit it but Harry is likeable! Heâs actually made me laugh a couple of times - you can definitely see how William and Kate would have been terrified of being overshadowed by him and Meghan.

I think when all is said and done, he is a good guy. None of us ânormal folkâ will EVER understand what it is to live in his shoes & experience life & loss the way he has. I think he has a good heart and loves his family. I believe in that there is hope here . #HarryTheInterview

Itâs kinda sad as 4 young people in a weird situation they couldnât just get on. But it sounds a bit like William and Kate take the institution a bit too seriously and Harry and Meghan take themselves a bit too seriously.

William and Kate have been doing all the briefing and leaking. We knew but there, Harry has said it.

Every question, Harry answers âitâs because of the mediaâ come on son. Even when he talks about why William and Kate didnât like Meghan from the start he blames the media narrative as opposed to simple ingrained class snobbery!

However, others jumped to defend Kate and William, expressing their doubt over Harry’s claims that the couple decided not to like Meghan before truly getting to know her.
Prince William and Kate did not make any judgements about Meghan based on the âBritish tabloid pressâ.

They made their admittedly harsh but true judgements based on multiple personal encounters with Meghan, including witnessing the way she bullied staff members.
Iâm so damn tired of Harold saying William and Kate formed their opinion of Meghan from the tabloids. They actually met and interacted with her, so their opinions are formed from their own experience.

Despite all his criticism, the Duke of Sussex claimed that he was still open to reconciliation with his family, although he doesn’t believe Charles or William will read his book.
“I really hope they do, but I don’t think they will. And with regard to this interview, I don’t know if they’ll be watching this or not – but what I have to say to them, and what they have to say to me, will be in private and I hope it can stay that way.”
“People might say, you’ve destroyed any chance of a reconciliation,” Bradby told him.
“Well, they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile up until this point and I’m not sure how honesty is burning bridges. Silence only allows the abuser to abuse. So I don’t know how staying silent is gonna make things better. That’s genuinely what I believe,” said Harry.
