ROSE Byrne looks incredible less than three months after giving birth to her first child.

The Sydney-born actress, who welcomed baby Rocco with partner Bobby Cannavale earlier this year, stepped out at a screening of her latest film The Meddler.

“I feel just sleep-deprived, and still in the tunnel,” Byrne, 36, revealed of her foray into motherhood. “It’s has been a challenge, the first three months. It’s intense. My brain’s really fried.”

Cannavale broke the news of the birth on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this month, confirming Byrne had popped on February 1.

The proud dad was scant on details but revealed the “beautiful” baby’s name was Rocco.

“I had a baby on Monday, yes,” the Vinyl star said.

“You know, I didn’t do anything. We (men) don’t do anything and I’m so tired. I think I’ve gained 28 pounds (12kg) since Monday.

“I mean, I’m not kidding you. Like, this jacket fit so well, like, last Thursday. But I’ve been eating so much.”

The Meddler, is a comedy-drama about an ageing mother who relocates to Los Angeles to be closer to her daughter, and sparks a relationship with a police officer.

It also stars Susan Sarandon, J.K. Simmons and Jerrod Carmichael.
