Meghan Markle stars in ad for NuCalm anti-stress patch

The makers of the stress-busting patch worn by Meghan Markle have turned it into an ad as speculation mounts over her next career move.

Can Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revive Brand Sussex?

The makers of the stress-busting wrist patch worn by Meghan Markle have already turned it into an online ad amid speculation that the Duchess of Sussex may relaunch her lifestyle blog The Tig.

The Duchess of Sussex was spotted wearing a sticker-like disc on her inner wrist while out walking with her bodyguard in her Montecito neighbourhood on the weekend.

The US company later confirmed the unusual patch was a NuCalm Biosignal Processing Disc and shared pictures of Meghan on her outing in an online ad on their official Instagram page.

It came after the wellness brand denied any “business relationship” with the Duchess of Sussex.

“We have never sponsored or paid for any product endorsements despite working with over 56 professional sports teams and hundreds of celebrities,” the brand told the New York Post in a statement.

“We never share who is using NuCalm, but if an athlete or celebrity wants to share, that is their prerogative.”

Instead, the company calls Meghan a “loyal user of (their) technology.”

According to British media reports, Meghan’s wearing of the NuCalm patch could signal that she is looking to build her lifestyle brand with partnerships.

Earlier this year, The Sun reported that Meghan was gearing up to revive her old lifestyle blog The Tig.

She previously described it as a “passion project” which “evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity”.

The Sun reported that relaunch of The Tig would not only be a space for her to vent her views, it could also provide the Sussexes with a substantial income.

Meghan has seemingly turned to the stress-busting Nucalm treatment to help her keep calm after a hectic few months, according to reports.

The drug-free Nucalm treatment, loved by Hollywood A-listers, costs around $2000 a year and claims to boost gaba neurotransmitters, reduce stress hormones and improve sleep, The Mirror reports.

In Australia, NuCalm has been rolled out at Recovery Labs across several states.

The Duchess of Sussex was seen wearing NucCalm’s signature patch on her wrist last week when husband Prince Harry was in Singapore, The Mirror reported.

A source is reported to have told The Mirror: “They are becoming very popular in the US. Wearers say they can help people battle a range of ailments, including stress, insomnia and pain.”

It comes after the Sussexes faced a series of setbacks after the collapse earlier this year of their $30 million Spotify deal and the exposure of their alleged feud with power couple David and Victoria Beckham.

Meghan and Prince Harry’s Netflix deal has also been hit with setbacks and the couple now plan to move into fiction production for the streaming giant rather than documentaries.

Their choice of text, author Carley Fortune’s romantic novel which features the death of a parent in a car crash, has been met with shock in some quarters, considering how Prince Harry’s own mother, Diana, was tragically killed.

And just last week, Prince Harry was hit with an embarrassing slapdown from the royals when his ‘HRH’ title was removed from the family’s website page.

In yet another snub, King Charles III gave new military titles to the Princess of Wales.

In her latest elevation over Meghan, Princess Catherine was named the Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards, and the Royal Honorary Air Commodore of the Royal Air Force Coningsby.
