Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram video has caught the attention of eagle-eyed royal fans who have noticed a blunder in the 28-second clip.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, kicked off 2025 by launching her own Instagram account with the username @meghan on Wednesday.
The Suits actor’ first post was filmed by her husband, Prince Harry, 40, in Montecito, California, where the pair reside with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, less than 24 hours after the video was posted, some were quick to point out that the final cut wasn’t the former actor’ first attempt.
At the start of the clip, Markle is seen running toward the water to find the perfect spot to write “2025” in the sand.
But fans noticed that the mother-of-two runs past another “2025” writing attempt nearby, confirming that it wasn’t her first time doing so.

Following her return to social media, Markle’s profile was given a shiny blue verification tick Thursday.
The former royal already boasts more than a whopping 960,000 followers on the platform — despite her first post being just 21 hours ago.
As well as her first post, she updated her account’s profile photo to a black-and-white shot of herself smiling in an elegant white dress.

It’s believed that Markle kept her account dormant after initially setting it up in June 2022.
Previously, Markle shared an Instagram account with her husband under the @sussexroyal handle.
However, the duo departed from that account in March 2020 after stepping down as senior working members of the royal family and moving to the US.
Markle also shut down her social media accounts in January 2018 after getting engaged to Prince Harry.
“Ms Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years, however as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them,” a Kensington Palace source said at the time.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, Markle’s social media comeback is part of her broader plan to control the narrative surrounding her public image, which has taken a tumble in recent years.
He also claims that Markle’s new personal Instagram account will play a part in promoting her upcoming business ventures, including the impending launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
