Meghan finally confirms longtime secret
One year after reports first began swirling, the Duchess of Sussex has confirmed her major next move.

Meghan Markle has made her comeback on social media.
More than a year after first being linked to the then-blank @meghan account on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex has confirmed it belongs to her by posting her first Reel.
The wholesome – albeit short – clip, which it’s believed was shot by Prince Harry, sees Meghan running down the beach in an all-white outfit and then scrawling “2025” in the sand.
At the same time as the first post, the profile picture was also changed from a generic image of pink flowers to a black-and-white portrait of Meghan.
She already has a business account linked to her yet-to-be-launched new company, American Riviera Orchard, which was unveiled last March.
Her @meghan account had around 110,000 followers in the months leading up to her first post – despite the fact there had been no confirmation it was definitely her.
Within an hour of Meghan’s first post, that number had hit 176,000, which included many of her famous friends.

The former actor had shut down all of her personal social media accounts in early 2018, shortly after becoming engaged to Harry.
Meghan and Harry then used their official @SussexRoyal accounts on Instagram and Twitter during their time as working royals, but stopped posting on there once they quit official duties in 2020.
The duchess had first secured the account back in August 2022, with a source telling the Daily Mail at the time that she had backed out of launching it at the last minute.

“Meghan was set to go live on Insta, but changed her mind shortly before she launched her Archetypes podcast, so it’s just sitting there now,” the insider said.
Meghan first teased her return to social media in 2022 during an interview with magazine The Cut, telling the interviewer: “Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back … on Instagram”.
Last month, it was reported that Meghan was preparing to make a big return to public life, following a curiously quiet year amid the soft-launch of her new brand.
According to The New York Post’s Page Six, she had been laying low in preparation for the proper unveiling of American Riviera Orchard, which will drop in tandem with her new Netflix show, centred around “cooking, gardening and entertaining” in “early 2025”.
“As far as Meghan being quiet, she’s been in the background working on her entrepreneurial efforts,” said an industry insider.
“Both the Netflix project and her brand will come out within the same timeline in the New Year.”
It’s unclear what’s caused the apparent delay, with People magazine having reported last September that the big rollout was slated for the latter end of 2024.
