Convicted South Australian drug smuggler and reality television personality Cassie Sainsbury has opened her own Cameo account.

Cameo is an online website where fans can purchase videos and messages from celebrities, internet personalities and televisions stars for a fee.

The upcoming SAS Australia contestant opened the account on Monday posting to a link to the account to her 33.7k Instagram followers.

Sainsbury is charging fans $47 per video and $31 per message through the site.

Her bio says she is “accepting all video requests”.

In a video posted to her Cameo account she said: “Hey guys, it’s Cassie here. I am accepting any video requests … whether it be a motivation (sic) speech, a shout out, a birthday message, I am here – nothing weird.”

Sainsbury has written that all money she earns through Cameo will be donated to charity.

Speaking to The Advertiser Sainsbury said she’s been helping less fortunate families for the last six months.

“I have been reaching out to several families and assisting with food vouchers,” she said.

“For the Adelaide Show I gifted 20 family passes to lend a hand.

“I will be continuing the donations through my Instagram followers and donating part of the money to STTARS which is a Survivors of Torture and Trauma Assistance and Rehabilitation Service centre.”

Sainsbury said she wants to “make a difference in people’s lives”.

“I know how hard things are these days and I know how much a helping hand can make a bad day just a little bit better,” she said.

The personal trainer said she puts aside money weekly from pay cycles to donate.

“It wasn’t enough to really make a difference or help as many people as I would like, so I’m hoping to get something extra in to be able to give more,” she said.

The Adelaide woman became known when she was quickly dubbed “Cocaine Cassie” after news broke she was being held by authorities in the Colombian capital Bogota accused of trying to smuggle almost 6 kgs of cocaine out of the country hidden in 18 boxes of headphones in 2017.

Sainsbury has been contacted for comment.
