Keeping that secret in the ensuing months has been difficult, the 26 year old is not renowned for being a vault.

“I’m terrible – I find it so hard,” she says.

“My friends and family can read me. They’ve all been trying to scope me out. The only person I told was my dad. He’s veryhappy for me.”

Blurton much preferred being the driver, rather than the passenger this time around.

“I think also having the experience definitely helped me navigate the world much better,” she shared. “I had such a greatteam supporting me – obviously my family and friends, but also the production that were behind me.

“They knew me and they were really wanting this to happen for me as Brooke. Not just for me as The Bachelorette. We were alljust like a really beautiful family.

“At the start of it I was really feeling the weight on my shoulders but then I just relaxed into being Brooke.

“And then it was just about trying to find the best partner that I want to spend the rest of my life with – that released myself of the pressure a little bit.”

I didn’t actually know who Brooke was. Of course, curiosity hit me and I looked her up on social media. I couldn’t reallytell whether or not we would be compatible but just like me she seemed to like the outdoors.

Why did you choose to go on The Bachelorette?

I’m single and Tinder and Bumble wasn’t working for me. Why not be completely taken out of your comfort zone and go on a nationalTV show? Nothing like a little TV show to spice up your dating life. But to give you a more formidable response, I took aleap of faith and here I am, vying for the attention from a woman who could quite possibly make this whole journey worthwhile.

What is your ideal first date?

I want to entice all the senses but in the most uncomplicated manner possible. To set the scene for you, we would be sittingon a rug side-by-side overlooking the ocean while watching the sunset. In the background, music would be playing.

We would have a glass of wine, devouring delicious food that I, of course, prepared. There would be moments where we couldhear the sound of the waves crashing. And just as the sun was going down, I would lean in for a kiss.

What is your ideal first date?

If there’s no budget and no time restraints, it is 100 per cent a sea plane over a reef, landing on one of those water trampolines (did I make this conceptup? Potentially yes) in the middle and having a picnic while watching the ocean life alive and free below us.
