Jess Fox is officially on the market.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal Australia’s shining star of the Olympics split quietly from her boyfriend Mathieu Biazizzo in May.
The couple had been together around nine years.
The 30-year-old has had an incredible year, winning multiple World Cups and two gold medals at the Paris Olympics in July and August.
Her younger sister, Noemie, also won gold at Paris in the Kayak cross event.
Fox’s management did not respond to calls for comment when contacted although sources said the pair “simply grew apart” due to long distance over many years.
She and Biazizzo, 32, met through the sport as he is also a professional canoe slalom athlete.
Fox, whose mother and coach is French, competes on the World Cup circuit from May to September each year, at which he is also usually taking part.
After the season would end, Fox would extend the season to stay in Europe with Biazizzo while he would often travel to Australia over the summer.
Fox, who is very private about her personal life, isn’t slowing down off the back of the Paris Olympics and is hugely in demand with blue chip sponsors including Adidas, Red Bull, Toyota, L’Oreal Paris, Grant Thornton and Sydney Water.
Her next competition will see Fox compete at the Oceania Championships in January next year ahead of the Canoe Slalom World Championships coming to Penrith in October.
