Adelaide WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has officially tied the knot to long-term partner and Melbourne pro-wrestler Buddy Matthews.
The 27-year-old WWE Women’s World Champion – who’s real name is Demi Bennett – posted the news to her almost 4 million Instagram followers on Thursday, alongside Matthews who shared the news at the same time.
“Til death” the short but sweet caption read, with a picture of Ripley and Matthews sharing a kiss, wearing all-black attire.
The couple first announced the news of their engagement on August 10, with a picture of them at popular tourist spot Cocoa Beach, in Florida.
“1000x Yes! Pure F**king happiness,” Bennett wrote, while Matthews posted, “My sunshine in the Sunshine”.
In April, the former Henley Beach High School student announced she would be vacating her WWE Women’s World Championship, just weeks after defending it in front of tens of thousands of fans at WrestleMania 40 in the US.
She told fans the decision was made after she sustained an injury and had been told it would be months before she could perform again.
Matthews, 34, has also achieved stardom performing in the US, and the couple had previously worked together in WWE.
He’s a member of the stable House of Black and is one-third of the current AEW World Trios Champion with Malakai Black and Brody King in their first reign.
