Adelaide WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has made a happy announcement to social media followers, revealing her long-time partner and fellow pro-wrestler Buddy Matthews has offered a ring of a different kind.
The 26-year-old WWE Women’s World Champion (real name Demi Bennett) and former Riot City Wrestling star posted the news to her 2.9 million Instagram followers on Thursday, showing off an engagement ring alongside the Melbourne-export and All Elite Wrestling star.
Matthews also who shared the news to Instagram at the same time on Thursday morning, added heartwarming captions with a picture of them at popular tourist Cocoa Beach, Florida.
“1000x Yes! Pure F**king happiness,” Bennett wrote, while Matthews posted, “My sunshine in the Sunshine,”
Matthews, 34, has also achieved stardom performing in the US, and the couple had previously worked together in WWE.
He’s a member of the stable House of Black and is one-third of the current AEW World Trios Champion with Malakai Black and Brody King in their first reign.
Fans rushed to congratulate the pro-wrestling power couple, among them were fellow WWE stars Bayley and Alexa Bliss as well as AEW’s Renee Paquette.
