A raft of new restaurants have added to the food offerings at Tasting Australia’s Town Square in Adelaide
REVEALED: As Tasting Australia draws near, here are the food vendors that’ll make up the festival hub, Town Square.

Spaghetti alle vongole served up by celebrity chef Adam Swanson and an SAWeekend top 20 dish of 2019 are among the highlights of this year’s Town Square offering as part of Tasting Australia.
The food and wine festival kicks off on March 27, and the Town Square – aka Victoria Square – will again be serving up delicious eats from a range of vendors, which we can now reveal.
TV chef Adam Swanson will team up with the Electra House crew to serve traditional Italian favourite, spaghetti alle vongole – spaghetti tossed with Port Lincoln vongole (little clams), garlic and parsley.
Also new to the offering is rooftop destination 2KW, which will be serving their famous SA blue swimmer crab crumpet – which was named among the top 20 dishes of 2019 in SAWeekend – complete with Spencer Gulf calamari and organic chorizo.
Here’s what else is in store:
JoyBird
The Hyde Park up-market chicken shop will be serving up their Dirty Bird fried chicken burgers, complete with a layer of fried cheese.
Fire x Soi.38
Get a taste of top 10 delicious.100 restaurant, Soi 38. Expect charred nomad beef, chicken or pork with Thai condiments and green papaya salad.
Sunny’s Pizza
This city favourite will be slinging Ngeringa lamb pizzas, complete with local tomatoes, smoked scamorza, sweet potato and chilli oil.
Hoy Pinoy
Whole marinated middle pig, roasted over charcoal with traditional trimmings.
Hubba Bubba Hummus
Pita pickled stuffed with hummus, m grilled eggplant, pickled cabbage, soft boiled egg and salady bits.
Ragini Spice
Adelaide chef Ragini Dey will be serving her signature “naanchos” – crispy naan chips topped with creamy tomato, an Indian-inspired sauce, choice of toppings and torched melted cheddar cheese.
La Popular Taqueria
SA’s favourite Mexican joint will be serving cochinita pibil – slow roasted free range pork shoulder marinated in traditional spices, cooked in an underground pit and served with pickled red onion and habanero sauce.
Gang Gang
Their Asian-inspired burger, Spice Girl, is complete with Asian slaw, pickled ginger and wasabi mayo.
B oston Bay Smallgoods & The Smokin’ Grillers
Pulled pork, grilled fresh cacciatore and chorizo.
Soza’s Sri Lankan Street Food
Egg hoppers served with chicken curry and sambal.
Shibui
Adelaide’s dessert king Quang Nguyen doesn’t do things by halves, so when he says he will be serving soft serve and soft serve inspired desserts, you know it’s going to be something special.
Gelista
Premium artisan gelati, including their signature bombe alaska.
