Arj Barker has been on the comedy circuit for about 30 years and built a legion of fans in that time.
They come out in droves to see his brand of awkward, quirky humour and he delivers exactly what they expect.
The Fringe has been a regular fixture of his comedy tours for some years and one gets the feeling those in attendance might be repeat visitors.
Barker quickly endears himself to the audience by stepping off the stage and down to viewer’s level.
The front few rows soon become as much a part of the show as Barker himself.
His marriage break-up constantly pops up as an explainer of some of the craziness in his life.
Personal anecdotes and whimsical stories about aliens and conspiracy theories are peppered with uproarious laughter.
Barker spins tragedy and ridiculousness into a brand of comedy that few pull off as well as he does.
