Special Report: A leading European and UK thermal management provider has requested samples of Green Critical Minerals’ Very High Density (VHD) Graphite technology.
- GCM to send samples to EU/UK thermal management provider
- VHD Graphite is demonstrating its strong commercially viability
- More offtake partnerships could be in the pipeline
The technology has consistently manufactured a product with the highest density (2071kg/m3) recorded for VHD blocks, easily exceeding industry standard densities for nuclear graphite - which is used as a high-temperature control-rod material - and electrode graphite.
Testing also found that the VHD Graphite blocks had 3x better thermal diffusivity than aluminium and graphite, 2.6x better than copper as well as a 25x directional advantage.
Green Critical Minerals (ASX:GCM) said the latest potential customer serviced a range of high-demand sectors like automotive, aerospace, industrial, laboratory and medical, manufacturing, marine, defence and even consumer electronics.
Their expertise includes solutions to enhance energy efficiency and reliability in demanding environments, aligning with the potential applications of VHD Graphite to solve modern thermal management challenges.
The company is preparing the requested samples, which will then be dispatched for further testing and validation from the potential customer.
Growing pipeline of potential offtakers
To date, GCM’s customer qualification efforts have resulted in strong interest, reinforcing real-world and commercial interest in the technology as a next-generation solution for advanced heat management challenges, especially in data centres, AI infrastructure and high-performance electronics.
In fact, there’s a growing pipeline of prospective offtake and technology integration partners.
This latest qualification deal follows a collaboration agreement with leading Australian data centre provider GreenSquareDC as well as the provision of samples for a company specialising in the design and supply of heat sinks to the high-performance electronics and industrial sector.
“We’re encouraged by the growing level of inbound interest in our VHD Graphite, particularly from sophisticated international players who understand the accelerating performance demands of modern thermal management products,” GCM managing director Clinton Booth said.
"This sample request from a well-established European and UK thermal solutions provider reflects the practical relevance of our product in real-world settings, and is a strong signal that VHD Graphite is aligning with market needs in sectors such as electronics, defence and high-efficiency manufacturing.
"We’ve moved quickly from early-stage development into customer-facing programs and this is another step forward in validating the commercial potential of our product.
“Our focus now is on delivering quality samples, supporting rigorous testing and building long-term partnerships as we move toward first revenue."
Watch: Big step forward for GCM’s VHD graphite tech
