The top 35 Sunraysia young guns revealed

The future is now in the Sunraysia league as the next generation of stars continue to make their presence felt. We reveal 35 of the best this season.

The Sunraysia league might have ex-AFL players starring in the competition but there are plenty of young guns impressing as well.

From players in their first season to some who are a major part of their team, the league is littered with stars of the future.

We list 35 names who have impressed this season.

Bailey Anderson, Irymple

The defender has won a premiership already and is 20-years-old. Anderson played 18 games for the Swallows and was among the best in eight games.

Kade Baynes, Irymple

Started the season in the reserves before playing the rest of the season in the seniors. The young gun has had another strong season being in the best players in 10 of 16 games.

Dante Brigante, Irymple

Made the move from Robinvale Euston to Irymple earlier in the season and flourished for last year’s premiers. The small forward kicked five goals in 12 games.

Elijah Brown, Mildura

One of the leading young forwards in the competition. Represented Mildura in interleague and kicked 26 goals in 18 games.

Nate Bull, Merbein

The centre half back continues to get better with more senior games. He played 16 games and was in the best players in five.

Raffaele Bulzomi, Robinvale Euston

The half forward spent his time between reserves and seniors this season but played well when given a crack. In 12 games, he was among the best in five.

Dion Camera, Robinvale Euston

Continues to be one of the leading forwards in the competition. Camera kicked 27 goals in 16 games and was the best in 11.

Zac Carra, Irymple

Continues to be a major part of the Irymple midfield despite still being a teenager. Was in the best players in six of 16 games.

Jed Connolly, Red Cliffs

Already a leader at the club despite his young age. Connolly impressed again this season, playing 16 games and being among the best in seven.

Charlie Cook, South Mildura

The Bendigo Pioneers winger made a few appearances for the Bulldogs and been a shining light on a tough season for the senior team. Cook kicked six goals in 10 games.

Stanley Cox, Ouyen United

One of the leading ruckman in the competition. Was in the best players in four of 10 games.

Cooper Dodds, Merbein

A tackling machine who continues to be one of the best for the Magpies. He played 16 games and was among the best in five.

Brodie Jones, Mildura

Looks to have a bright future in the Sunraysia league. The halfback flanker made nine appearances for Mildura and was among the best in six games.

Toby Galbraith, Imperials

Unlucky not to play a part in finals this year as his team won the premiership. A key forward for the future. He kicked four goals in 12 games including some crucial goals to hand Imps wins earlier in the season.

Dusty Geister, Irymple

Geister was busy this season playing for four clubs including under-18s and seniors for Irymple. He kicked 21 goals in five games in the under-18s and 16 in 13 senior games.

Cooper Germane, Red Cliffs

Made his debut this season and did not look out of place. Germane played 13 games and was the best in three.

Jai Grayling, Red Cliffs

One of the best young ruckman in the competition who is also a handy forward. Grayling kicked 14 goals in nine games.

Archer Hammond, Irymple

Another Irymple player. Hammond played 19 games and was in the best in eight. Can play in the forward line or in the middle.

The midfield young gun was one of the best players for the Magpies this season. He played 15 games and was among the best in eight.

Alex Hollingworth, Irymple

A key tall who has not only won a senior premiership but can still play under-18s. He played 13 games for the Swallows this year and was among the best in four.

Rory Hooper, Wentworth

The former SANFL player has been part of the 22 for the whole season for Wentworth. He played 18 games and was among the best in three.

Tate Hulland, Ouyen United

The key position player played well in a tough season for United. Hulland played 13 games, kicked five goals and was in the best in five games.

Tarrant Lihou, Mildura

The winger played 18 matches and was in the best in five. In one game, against Robinvale Euston, he was the best on ground.

Zavier Littore, Wentworth

Another young gun forward who played well this season. Littore kicked 11 goals in 19 games.

Anthony Mezzatesta, Robinvale Euston

Still under the age of 20, Mezzatesta played every game for Robinvale Euston and was a leading presence in its midfield. He was among the best in six of 17 games.

Brayth Munn, South Mildura

A rising star for the Bulldogs who played a full season. In 15 games he was in the best in five.

Archer Olsen, Mildura

Played his first senior game this year. The small forward played most of the season and kicked eight goals and was among the best in four.

Harry Ough, Wentworth

Still a teenager and is a key forward of the future for the Kangaroos. Played 17 games and kicked five goals.

Jude Penny, Red Cliffs

Capable of playing as a defender and winger and played the last couple of games in seniors this season. One player to look out for next year.

Still capable of playing under-18s, Petit impressed in his first year at the Bulldogs. Pettit kicked six goals and was among the best in four out of 14 games.

Tom Sapuppo, Wentworth

The small forward helped the Kangaroos this year reach the grand final and was a threat in front of goal. He kicked 16 goals in 20 games.

Toby Scott, Irymple

He might be still a teenager but Scott has already achieved premiership success as part of the Irymple team last year. This year, he’s taken his game to another level in the midfield. Scott played 19 games and was in the best players in five.

Brandon Sobkowiak, Wentworth

The small defender recently played in the grand final for the Kangaroos and was brilliant this season, despite still being a teenager. He made 18 appearances and was in the best players in nine games.

Taj Stevens, South Mildura

The midfielder continues to be a shining light in the Bulldogs team. Was in the best players in six of 13 games.

Baden Umback, Wentworth

A forward to keep an eye on. Made his senior debut this year, kicking three goals in his first match, and kicked five goals in five matches for the season.
