Berwick College has capped off a dramatic run through the second-half of the Basketball Australia Schools Championships to lock up a spot in the Under-20 Division 1 Men’s gold medal game.
After losing two of their opening three matches of the tournament, Berwick College White has fired back with four straight wins including Thursday’s 20-point triumph over Sydney giants Newington College in the semi-finals.

Levi Altar and Seth Horne both hit double digits on the scoring end for the fourth time this week, with 13 points each, to lead the team to a 57-37 victory on court three.
Henley Sports Academy are headed to the women’s Under-20 Division 1 decider after overcoming a determined Westfields Sports High in a come-from-behind semi-final victory.
It capped off what has been a perfect week on the courts for the South Australian side after they progressed through the group stage undfeated and knocked off Kings Christian College in an earlier quarter-final.

But the Henley girls had to work for their gold medal opportunity after trailing by as many as seven points midway through the second term.
It was a 29-6 run either side of the halftime break that really set the red army up for glory, and allowed them to hold on with gritted teeth despite a 31-point final quarter from last year’s silver medallists.

Scoring machine Bailey Macarthur will aim to lead his Trinity Grammar side into the semi-finals as the Sydneysiders open up the action.
Trinity Grammar, who are coached by former NBL big Ben Morrissey, will take on Brisbane Grammar School in the quarter-finals.
Brisbane Grammar will ride a wave of momentum into the contest after they knocked off one Sydney powerhouse, The Scots College, on Wednesday to earn a finals berth.
The afternoon’s semi-finals matches will be decided after the morning quarter-finals.
