The Southport School has picked up its first win of the Basketball Australia Schools Championships, but they had to survive an almighty scare to get there.
Meanwhile a repeat of last year’s women’s bronze medal match ended in much the same vein, while a St Gregory’s College star exploded on the court.
It all happened in Thursday’s consolation finals on court one.

John Paul College and Marsden State High, two teams who battled for the bronze medal only a year ago, will play off in the other women’s consolation final.
