Star big Bailey Macarthur continued to strengthen his case for tournament MVP honours, dropping 20 points in the semi-final, despite sitting on the becnh for most of the second quarter.
A slick three-ball from benhc utility Jed Moor on the stroke of quarter-time stretched the Trinity lead out to eight points, and they were never headed from their holding on for a 47-39 win.
Hillcrest never gave up the fight, defending like their lives depended on it, and managed to cut the lead to as low as three points in the third quarter. But that was the closest they came to victory.

Meanwhile Berwick College came within a whisker of having three teams in gold medal matches, after the schools Under-20 Division 1 women’s side went down to Queenslanders Southport State High 42-35 in the semi-finals.
The Victorian side managed to keep pace with their rivals for most of the semi-final, and even led by two points at the main break, but an 11-2 run for Southport late in the third quarter was telling.
