Cobram trainer Corey Holden rode Shesa Skillycat to win the open cutting then the mare took her owner, Robbie Johnson, to a win in the rookies class.
The $7500 “non pro” was hard fought and had the closest of finishes with an equal first for Samantha Stepnell on Cataboonsmal and Robbie Johnson’s A Little Red Colonel both on 72 points.
Ashleigh Meagher’s A Lil Stormy and Jamie Everingham’s Sophisticated Doll were equal third behind them on 71.5 points.
Cassie Hurley’s H Bar Accidental Acres won the snaffle bit class and Lindsay Wheatley was equal first with himself in the novice with Cataboonsmal and Playin’ Sophisticated.
Stuart Laurie had a great score of 74 points on Dara Hiking Review to take out the novice “non-pro” class.
Gus Everingham rode Duntay Luv You Big to take out the senior youth cutting with a score of 73.
