SWIFTS Creek put family first on the weekend, with two sets of siblings and a father-son duo taking to the field.

Brothers Dylan, Jesse, Beau and Jordan Hack — who range in age from 16 to 22 — played their first senior game together, while Robert Maisey Snr came out of retirement to play with son Robert Jnr.

Also on the team sheet for Swifts Creek were playing coach Brodie Cameron and his brother Jordy, who are regulars for the side.

Jesse Hack said it was a special moment for the quartet, but it was also “pretty full-on”.

“It was sort of hard because you’re a bit protective of them, but at the same time they’re big enough and ugly enough to look after themselves,” he said.

“We get pretty competitive as well. We try to show each other up a bit.”

Jesse, 21, normally plays for Swifts Creek in the Omeo and District league with older brother Dylan.

It was the first time since juniors he had played with Beau, 17 and Jordan, 16.

Those two had already played under-18s with East Gippsland club Lucknow on Saturday morning before playing with their older brothers.

The sibling rivalry proved to benefit Swifts Creek, who took home the four points after beating Swan Reach 16.12 (108) to 8.13 (61). Jesse kicked seven goals.

Jesse said the two younger brothers would play a few more games with Swan Reach to qualify for finals.
