WA Wheatbelt farms Wagabawering Spring and Amaroo listed for sale
Two separate farms in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region have been listed for sale for the first time ever.
A pair of massive cropping farms in the heart of Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region have hit the market where they could yield offers worth at least $45 million combined.
The 3925ha Wagabawering Spring, located 220km southeast of Perth at Yealering, has been listed for sale by a local farming family.
Wagabawering Spring was formed in the early 1900s, and has been listed for sale for the first time in its history.
The private vendors are selling the property, as a whole or in separate lots, with plans to retire from farming.
Comprising four lots; Karradene (425ha), Osmaston (1118ha), Wagabawering Spring (1216ha) and Geetabin (1164ha), Wagabawering Springis for sale via expressions of interest closing October 25, with offers from $24.4 million expected for the entire property.
Meanwhile about 60km east of Yealering at Kulin, the 9910ha Amaroo has also been listed for sale for the first time in its history.
Owned by a local Kulin family since its formation, Amaroo is being offered as a turnkey asset, for sale on walk-in, walk-out terms.
Offers to purchase from $20.5 million are expected with a closing date for offers of October 18.
Nutrien Harcourts Real Estate Narrogin Steve Wright is handling the sale of both Amaroo and Wagabawering Spring.
He said he was expecting offers to come from the whole scope of buyers including neighbouring and local farming families, family corporates and corporate investors.
Amaroo is independently mapped with 6866ha available for cropping while the remainder of the property has been used for sheep production.
Elsewhere in WA, a northern NSW farming family has purchased the 140,000ha Christmas Creek Station, located at Fitzroy Crossing in the state’s Kimberley Region.
