Three broadacre Victorian farms have hit the market where they could receive offers worth almost $40 million combined.

In the heart of the Western District’s cropping region, located 10km north of Willaura, a 790ha three-parcel property has been relisted for sale.

Comprising separate properties of 311ha (northern portion), 256ha (central portion) and 226ha (southern portion), the Willaura Aggregation was previously listed for sale in 2022, but failed to sell.

More than 18 months later, the aggregation is back on the market via Elders Real Estate Ararat, where it is expected to field offers worth about $19,768 a hectare, totalling $15.67 million.

The aggregation is considered 95 per cent arable with a history of mixed farming. In the last 10 seasons it has been purely a cropping enterprise with a rotation of oilseeds, cereals and legumes.

About 60km south of Willaura, almost 1000ha of mixed farmland is for sale as a whole or in three adjoining parcels.

Greystone, in Victoria’s Western District, has proven its worth as a successful mixed

farming enterprise over four decades, located 10km northeast of Caramut.

In previous seasons Greystone has run about 3500 Merino breeding sheep and followers, plus 2000 wethers or dry sheep, and incorporating around 100ha of raised beds in its crop and hay rotation.

The aggregation comprises three lots; Greystone (387ha), Todds (340ha) and Hausslers (231ha), focusing on wool and lamb production during the past 15-20 years, with crops sown including beans, barley, wheat and canola.

With offers worth more than $12,355 a hectare, the Greystone aggregation could be worth $11.85 million in total.

Family division purposes have brought a 700ha parcel of North East Victorian farmland to market, calling time on 50 years of ownership by the Kemp family.

First acquired by the Kemp family in 1974, Tarrawatta at Taminick, totals 704ha of mixed grazing and cropping land held in 22 separate and largely contiguous titles.

Located west of the Hume Freeway, about 15km north of Glenrowan, Tim Kemp and family have run a substantial contract fat lamb operation of up to 3000-head annual turn-off, plus a 120-cow Angus cattle fattening operation.

Mr Kemp, a third-generation family member, has also said winter grains cropping has been completed across 130ha, but could be expanded further.

There is also 80ha of established lucerne pastures across four paddocks that is used for finishing fat lambs, while plans are in place to install an Upton centre pivot to irrigate 25ha of pasture for summer pasture production in accord with a 120ML irrigation licence.
