THE southern NSW grazing property Dunollie Park has sold for $8.9 million.
The 516ha property, located at Tooma, was sold at auction last week.
The Weekly Times recently reported the property hoped to make more than $13,530 per hectare.
The property, which has views to the Kosciuszko National Park, is described as having a balance of highly fertile, decomposing granite soils with the country ranging from slightly undulating to steeper areas but all can be accessed.
The home on Dunollie Park is a 1950s built homestead, which was renovated in 2004 and then again in 2017.
Working improvements include a new four-bay hay shed, a three-bay machinery shed, cattle yards, lockable storage and 20 tonnes of grain storage.
Selling agent David Gittoes from Elders Real Estate recently told The Weekly Times
“anyone who looks at this property will see some of the best pastures you will find anywhere”.
“You are in an area where high quality pastures can be successfully established and maintained, and it is true ryegrass country.
“The highest point on the property is 780m above sea level, yet this farm sits at the bottom of a valley in a private setting.”
It comes as two farms worth more than $25.5 million combined were recently listed for sale.
Glengarry Station at Darraweit Guim in the Macedon Ranges has hit the market with an asking price of $18 million while Wombat Park at Daylesford is seeking more than $7.5 million.
