A RIVERINA grazing property expected to fetch more than $8 million has hit the market.

The 796ha farm, Belmore at Oberne Creek, will be sold via expressions of interest and has an asking price of $8-$8.5 million.

Selling agent Sally Douglas from Nutrien Harcourts said the owners, who bought the property 16 years ago, had bred Herefords on the property – about 350-400 head.

“The property was once part of the 44,000-acre Belmore Station, stretching from Oberne Creek to Humula and Possum Plains,” Ms Douglas said.

It follows a string of high quality Riverina properties listed for sale in recent weeks.

One of the most recent is the grazing and cropping property Woodleigh at Tarcutta.

The 428ha farm will be sold via expressions of interest and is expected to make more than $9350 per ha.

Meanwhile, another grain storage facility has been listed for sale – at least the fourth in the space of about two months.

The latest is a facility at Walpeup at a 30ha site on Meridan Access Road.

The private sale is expected to make $1 million.

Selling agent Danny Thomas from CBRE said interest in the Walpeup facility had already been shown by local operators and bulk handlers.

“The surrounding district and greater Mallee region is having one of the most promising seasons in recent memory. This, coupled with the current volatile commodity pricing, has seen strong demand (for grain storage),” Mr Thomas told The Weekly Times.

In June, the grain handling facility Peaco at Donald was listed on the market for $8.5 million while in July a grain storage facility at Moree was put up for sale for $10 million.
