Riverina family lists renowned farm and homestead for sale
A signature holding in the NSW southern Riverina, operating as a 900-hectare farm and premier wedding venue, has hit the market.
For more than 15 years, Orange Grove has been the humble farming home for Adrian Feuerherdt and family in the NSW southern Riverina, while also becoming a premier rural wedding and events venue.
The 909-hectare cropping and grazing property is regarded as a signature holding in the Culcairn district, thanks to its hundreds of arable hectares and a restored four-bedroom homestead which is surrounded by renowned manicured gardens.
Adrian Feuerherdt and family made the move to Orange Grove in 2008, expanding from his home family farming property situated across the road, building their own considerable farming enterprise paired with a popular wedding and events venture at the holding.
In recent seasons the Feuerherdts have planted about 480 hectares to winter crops while also carrying 900 breeding ewes, 300 wethers, 600 lambs, 280 breeding cows, 100 weaner calves, 30 steers (at 600 kilograms) and 80 young heifers.
The centrepiece of the property is the 60 sqm homestead which include the veranda areas, set among established lawn and garden areas with mature trees known as Orange Grove Gardens.

“We are just pulling up stumps on the weddings side of things at the moment, we have one more to go after 15 years running alongside our mixed farming enterprise of sheep, cattle, cropping and fine wool production,” Adrian said.
“Since holding our first one it has grown up to 30 in our biggest years, which runs alongside four self-contained eco-cabins that can be used as Airbnbs too.”
Offers ranging from $21,000 to $22,000 a hectare are expected for Orange Grove, which Corcoran Parker General Manager Mike Weller said was well in the range of results achieved for high quality farmland in the NSW southern Riverina.
“Where else are you going to find a property of this size and scale within 30 minutes of the City of Albury,” Mr Weller said.
At Orange Grove there is also a second well-maintained brick veneer residence, offering four bedrooms plus one bathroom with a functional kitchen, two living areas, separate dining room and outdoor laundry. There is also a 80,000-litre in-ground swimming pool.
On the grazing side of things, Orange Grove is estimated to be able to carry 15,000 dry sheep equivalent or 750 breeding cows and calves or 1500 young steer equivalents, if fully pastured.
The property is split into 40 paddocks and is regarded as 95 per cent arable, a three-stand shearing shed with adjacent sheep yards to include loading ramp, drafting race and six main holding yards, machinery and hay shedding as well as steel cattle yards.
