A 1300ha aggregation near Rand and a further 1150ha near Wagga Wagga have been sold in separate deals worth more than $22m combined.
A pair of mixed farming aggregations in the NSW Riverina have been sold in separate deals worth more than $22m combined.
In the southern NSW Riverina, the estate of the late James Ralston has been finalised with the sale of the 1306ha Thuin Park Aggregation, located between Rand and Walbundrie, NSW.
Offered for sale in September last year, the four-farm aggregation has been sold, split between one district-based buyer and another Riverina-based buyer.
Located 14km from Rand and 65km from Corowa, the portfolio comprised the adjoining 954ha Thuin Park, 628ha Websters, 411ha Fairbank and 254ha Bellevue.
It is understood each of the two buyers have acquired two parcels each.
NSW property records show the total Thuin Park portfolio was sold for more than $12m combined.
Featuring quality red loam soils, the Thuin Park properties were mostly a cropping enterprise but also ran sheep and cattle too.
The farms, estimated to be 95 per cent arable across the aggregation, were consolidated across a century by generations of the Ralston family.
Elders Real Estate Albury agent David Gittoes and Andrew Kane handled the sale of the aggregation, but were unable to comment on the transaction.
Improvements include a five-bedroom home, a shearing shed, sheep and cattle yards, sheds and grain silos.
Meanwhile Riverina farmers Kate and Greg Maclure’s 1153ha Barrabooka Aggregation, near Wagga Wagga NSW, has also been split and sold between two buyers.
Located at Tumbarumba Rd, Wagga Wagga, the aggregation was offered as two separate lots: the 741ha Barrabooka, and the 411ha Murrays at Murray’s Lane, Tarcutta.
Initially the farms were offered for sale through auction in October last year, where they were passed in.
It is understood both Barrabooka and Murrays were later sold to two different neighbours, with NSW property records showing the in deals were worth more than $10m combined.
Elders Real Estate Wagga Wagga agents Angus Macleod and Henry Mackinnon handled the sales.
