71,000ha NSW stations snapped up for millions
A western NSW station, spanning a combined 71,866ha, has been sold by a Victorian-based grazier for millions.
Two pastoral stations in western NSW, spanning almost 72,000ha, have been sold by a Victorian-based grazier for millions.
Tasman and Corinya stations, located 68km north of Ivanhoe and 280km from Hay, have been sold for the first time in more than 30 years after hitting the market earlier this year.
Vendor Bryan Milne listed the pastoral properties for sale in January, where they were expected to field offers worth $13m, walk-in, walk-out.
Spanning a combined 71,866ha, the properties were offered with 10,000 rangeland composite goats, 1000 white dorper-ultra white ewes and extensive station plant and equipment.
It is understood the stations have been sold on a bare basis, with the remaining stock and plant and equipment to be sold separately.
Details about the transaction remain undisclosed, with the stations understood to have sold within the vicinity of the asking price.
A private investment group is understood to have purchased the stations.
When the properties hit the market, they were running up to 9000 Kalahari, red Boer and rangeland composite nannies plus kids and 900 composite rangeland billies, turning off about 5000 goats a year.
The station comprises semi-open pine grazing country next to the Sandy Creek basin.
Semi-arid bushland, mallee dune fields and fertile rosewood and belah-wilga country grow native grasses and herbages for livestock.
The aggregation is watered by 20 dams, four bores and a natural lake filled by the Corinya natural lake system with run off from the ranges.
Structural improvements include a four-stand shearing shed, a new storage area used for plant and equipment, and four sets of steel yards.
Each of Corinya and Tasman have their own homesteads, with a four-bedroom Queenslander-style home reconstructed in 2001 at Corinya.
There is a three-bedroom manager’s residence at Tasman, plus accommodation for eight workers.
Nutrien Russell Property & Livestock agent David Russell handled the sale of the Tasman and Corinya stations.
