Donald Trump’s two-hour address to Congress on Wednesday has been discussed at length by pundits around the globe. It wasn’t without controversy, with Democrat Al Green being escorted off the premises for interrupting the President. The congressman shouted that Mr Trump had “no mandate” within minutes, brandishing his cane and causing a scene.

Later on in his speech, Mr Trump detailing of some of the more questionable financial decisions made by the government attracted a few laughs. But there continues to be discontent among the ranks, with millions of Americans opposed to the Republican’s bold promise to single handedly turn America into the “greatest civilisation in history”.
