Prince Harry to ‘sit 10 rows back’ at the coronation, former butler Paul Burrell says
Prince Harry won’t be impressed with his seating location at the King’s coronation, which is set to include an appearance from Queen Camilla’s ex-husband.
Prince Harry will be seated “10 rows back” from his family at the coronation for King Charles III, according to a royal insider.
Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, said there will be “no chance” the Duke of Sussex — who will be attending the historic event without his wife Meghan — will have time to reconcile with his father or brother during the visit.
However, despite the appearance of a snub, Prince Harry’s far-back position could be helpful if he wishes to make a quick exit, the ex-royal aide revealed.
“It is not a surprise, he is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door and he is coming because his father wants him to be there,” Mr Burrell told GB news.
“His father will be delighted that both his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around.”
Sources have also said that Prince Harry could even fly in and out of the country in less than 24 hours, although that has not been confirmed yet.
“He doesn’t want to spend much time around them,” Mr Burrell said.
“There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon. I'm afraid I think he will get a very icy reception from the Windsors.”
QUEEN CAMILLA’S EX TO ATTEND CORONATION
Queen Camilla’s ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles is set to attend King Charles’ coronation at Westminster Abbey, a report has revealed.
According to The Sunday Times, the Queen‘s former husband will be “front and centre” of the congregation to watch his first wife be crowned next to King Charles.
Camilla and Andrew — who married in 1973 before divorcing in 1995 — share two children, Tom Parker Bowles, 48, a food writer and Laura Lopes, 45, a gallerist — with Tom’s son Freddie, and Laura’s twin sons Gus and Louis, all 13, set to be Camilla’s pages of honour.
The Sunday Times reports that they will be carrying the train of her robes during the grand ceremony at the coronation.
Camilla went on to marry Prince Charles in 2005, while Parker Bowles exchanged vows with Rosemary Pitman in 1996. She died in 2010.
It comes after it was revealed that Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has not been invited to the grand occasion May 6.
Meanwhile, Prince Louis celebrated his fifth birthday on the weekend with the royals releasing two pictures of him smiling while being pushed in a wheelbarrow by his mother, the Princess of Wales
The photograph shows the young prince wearing a blue woolly jumper, shirt and blue shorts while sitting on top of leaves and grass and holding on to the wheelbarrow, as his mother laughs.
