Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be planning to buy house in UK, ex-butler Grant Harrold says
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be on the hunt for a new UK base after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage, a former royal butler has claimed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be planning a move back to the UK, a former royal butler has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit Britain when they stepped down from their roles as senior working royals for a new life in California.
But now there are now claims the couple could be looking to set up a base in Britain by buying a property so they can visit more often, the New York Post reports.
King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, said: “I’d never say never, it’s always possible that one day he might want to come home, it’s possible that he might buy (a property) here if he wanted to come over (more) and Meghan didn’t want to come over.
“Meghan doesn’t really have any family here as such, all her family are in the States and that’s where Harry has decided he wants to set up his home.”
The former butler turned etiquette expert said the King’s youngest son was “always going to have an association with the UK” and will never “totally want to cut that off.”
“He’ll always want to keep his fingers in that pie, so to speak.
“He’ll want to have that association with Britain just in case one day he does want to come back and I don’t think Harry will want to sever ties.”
King Charles evicted the Sussexes from Frogmore Cottage last February, amid the fallout from Prince Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare.
