‘Humiliated’: JLo and Affleck marital woes deepen

Jennifer Lopez is “furious” over husband Ben Affleck’s decision to get a divorce, according to reports.

A source has told Page Six that Jennifer Lopez is “furious” and “humiliated” over her split from Ben Affleck.

“She’s furious. He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together,” the source said.

“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life. They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”

The source said Lopez was a “romantic” and is upset the couple’s children were involved.

“There are five kids involved in this,” said the source. “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”

Another source told Page Six that Affleck is “protective” of Lopez and is holding off filing for divorce to avoid humiliating her further.

This comes as Lopez has ditched her wedding ring while house hunting as her relationship with Ben Affleck is said to be growing icy, “slowing down” their apparent divorce.

Lopez was spotted touring a $A104.5m mansion in Beverly Hills, about 15 minutes away from the home she shared with Affleck, which is on the market.

The 55-year-old went to inspect the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home on the weekend alongside her 16-year-old child Emme and a real estate agent, according to pictures obtained by TMZ.

Their day kicked off with a quick coffee stop before heading over to the home which features an infinity-edge pool, a gym, a 1200-bottle wine cellar, full sports courts and a 10-seat theatre.

The star was without her wedding band and her engagement ring was moved to her right hand.

Meanwhile, Affleck was seen outside his office in Los Angeles on Monday again without his wedding ring.

Dressed in a suit and holding an iced coffee, the 51-year-old was snapped sporting a faux hawk hairstyle he recently debuted and waving at someone off camera.

According to TMZ, citing unnamed sources close to the couple, the pair aren’t speaking to one another, both in person or over the phone, which has slowed down their apparent divorce.

Both Lopez and Affleck haven’t hired lawyers and are instead having everything go through their respective business managers.

The couple officially put their shared 12-bedroom Beverly Hills home on the market for $A104 million on July 11.

It comed amid reportsthe couple’s divorce documents “are finalised, but not yet turned in”.

Affleck spent $A30 million on a new five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion on July 24, the same time his wife threw a Bridgerton-themed party to celebrate her birthday.

His new luxury pad is believed to in the affluent Pacific Palisades area and boasts a powder room, guesthouse, den, and separate breakfast bar and dining areas.

Oddly enough, Lopez sold her New York apartment on that same day to for $A35.3m.

The On The Floor singer had channelled Queen Charlotte, the monarch in the popular Netflix series, as she celebrated turning 55.

The stunning couture dress featured a corset and large hoop skirt complete with brocade, a type of decorative fabric that was “crafted by 40 artisans over 3490 hours,” fashion designer Manish Malhotra shared in an Instagram post.

Speaking about JLo’s exquisite gown, Mr Malhotra said it took hours upon hours of work to complete.

“The corset and Victorian skirt features a floral motif moulded by hand from sequins and over half a million crystals,” he added.

“Petal and ring-shaped metal sequins were especially treated to preserve their hue to craft this ensemble, a celebration of intricate artistry and Indian craftsmanship.”

The designer, who recently created custom looks for billionaire heir Anant Ambani’s wedding earlier this month, said he was honoured to dress the “iconic JLo”.

There was an outpouring of love from his followers, with people describing the Bridgerton-inspired dress as “outstanding” and “absolutely spectacular”.

Lopez’s look was completed with a regal-style updo, tiara, long gloves and tall gold platform heels.

The hitmaker was also seen laughing while sitting on a decorative gold throne.

JLo also posted a video on the social media platform, with a caption fitting the theme: “Dearest Gentle Reader … And a splendid evening was had by all”.

Later in the evening, Lopez could be seen wearing a different outfit – a green off-the-shoulder dress with embellishments on the top part of the bodice.
