Rug up, Victoria: cold, wet and windy weather on the way
VICTORIANS are bracing for another day of severe winds tomorrow.
VICTORIANS are bracing for another day of severe winds tomorrow, with a drop in temperatures that will bring a wintry chill and snow.
North-westerly winds will intensify tomorrow ahead of a cold front, while a deep low pressure system south of Tasmania will send temperatures plummeting in Victoria.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Peter Blake says he expects a severe weather warning will be issued today as the cold front approaches.
“Into tomorrow night, it will certainly be very windy and colder as well, with the snow level coming down to about 700 metres on Wednesday,” he said.
“There are likely to be severe weather warnings out for southern and mountain areas issued today for tomorrow.”
The wild weather could also include hail and thunder with scattered showers in the north and far southeast, increasing from the southwest ahead of the change.
