The finest horse riders from across the nation have spent the King’s Birthday long weekend winding their way past the Werribee Park Open Range Zoo, the beautiful Mansion Hotel and Spa, through the stunning State Rose Garden, across the Werribee Park Polo fields and the National Equestrian Centre for Victoria’s premier eventing competition.

Competitors tried to tame the picturesque Werribee Park precinct for the Melbourne International Three Day Event as wintry conditions soaked the course.

Hundreds of other events also took place including dressage and showjumping plus individual horse and pony club competitions. The Weekly Times photographer Yuri Kouzmin was on hand to capture the action.
