Woman, 29, critical after being hit by a garbage truck on Park Tce at Salisbury
A young woman is fighting for life after being struck by a garbage truck in Adelaide’s northern suburbs overnight.
A woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a garbage truck in Salisbury on Tuesday night.
Police and emergency services were called to Park Tce just after 11pm to reports a woman had been hit by a truck.
The pedestrian was a 29-year-old Woodville West woman who was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck, a 35-year-old Semaphore South man, was not injured and police say the driver is assisting officers with their inquiries.
Roads were closed for most of the night while Major Crash officers examined the scene. However all roads in the area have since reopened.
